Hi there, I’m Jin.
As a kid, I’d spend hours in my father’s home appliance factory in China, mesmerized by how humming assembly lines brought everyday items like rice cookers and desk fans to life. Those products would travel thousands of miles to European homes—a journey that once filled me with pride. But when I moved to Europe for studies at 18, I froze in front of a Milan appliance store: a kettle from my hometown sat on the shelf, priced three times higher, with no trace of the Chinese factory that made it.
For eight years, I became a tightly wound spring—studying product design at Politecnico di Milano by day, while tracing supply chains across European warehouses and retailers by night. What I learned wasn’t greed, but a maze of middlemen and logistical chaos squeezing both sides. So in 2018, I returned home and built an export company as a “global sourcing partner.” We’ve since helped clients in 50+ countries navigate 1,000+ product categories—once even video-inspecting shipments at 3 AM for an Italian client. Was it exhausting? Absolutely. But seeing a family-owned shop in Spain light up at our fair quote? That kept me going.
Then COVID-19 hit. Standing in Shenzhen’s deserted airport during lockdown, I watched global supply chains crumble like dominoes. It forced a question: Should Chinese manufacturing keep racing to the bottom, or could we help others thrive alongside us?
That’s why YOLO exists today.
You’ll still find a world map in our office, but now it’s dotted with stars—each marking a partner we’ve grown with. When people ask, “Why cap profits at 5-10%?” I think of my father teaching me to tighten screws as a boy: “Twist just enough. Too tight, and it cracks. Too loose, and it fails.” Business works the same way.
If you, too, believe commerce shouldn’t be a zero-sum game—if you’d like to build a bridge where Chinese factories glow on one end, and your local community smiles on the other—my door in Hangzhou is always open. Come for tea. I’ll show you that “overpriced” kettle from my student days. It reminds me daily: Trust shouldn’t cost this much, and good business… well, it can warm the world.
